Join us for the Winter Lock-in on Friday, January 10th at 7:00 pm in the Social Level. Families are invited for the Pack Meeting and all the activities to follow. Scouts (and adults) are invited to stay the night. (Please eat dinner before arriving.)
ALL NEW this year! We are skipping the movie and adding lots of fun activities, including: a visit from an insect expert, cookie-making, and fun pottery painting! Plus kickball in the gym. Come have fun even if you cannot sleep-over in the Social Level (with donuts in the AM), but that part is fun, too! We will have a quick pack meeting to start the night and then move right into the activities, which will conclude by 9:30 or 10:00 pm. For those that stay over-night, we will leave for home by 8am Saturday.
Make sure you bring a flashlight, as we may have a game that requires it!
Note: this is a cub scout lock-in, so we DO sleep (unlike the boy scouts who stay up all night).
Things to bring if you are staying overnight:
sleeping bag
air mattress or pad, something to sleep on
pajamas
toothbrush/toothpaste
pillow
flashlight
earplugs (snoring defense for adults)
Since this is an overnight event, Class A uniforms (blues and neckerchief) are not necessary – the yellow pack t-shirts (Class Bs) are fine for the Lock-in on Friday. Also, a parent must stay with their scout if they are sleeping in the Social Level. Again, only scouts can stay overnight, not their siblings, so that our group doesn't get unmanageable :O) Thanks for your understanding...

February 3rd is Scout Sunday!
- Light of Christ recipients should sit in front 2 pews on the left while Parvuli Dei recipients should sit in the front 2 pews on the right. A few leaders and parents should be seated among them to keep them focused throughout Mass. Family members can fill in behind the boys. Scouts not receiving awards may sit anywhere in the church with their families.
- All scouts and scout leaders should be dressed in the CLASS A uniforms.
- Scouts and Scout family members will be asked to participate in the Mass (i.e. bring gifts, be altar servers, Eucharistic Ministers)
- The religious emblem awards will be blessed just before the final Blessing.
- Immediately after Father gives the Final Blessing our scout leaders will approach the altar with the awards. The religious emblem scouts will then file out of the pews like they are going up for communion and receive their award. Then the scouts will return to the pews and remain standing.
- Scouts should stay in the pews after church so parents can take photos
